Redefining Jewellery standards...Khaleej times

TESSORI, Pakistan's largest  exporter of fine quality  branded gold jewellery is committed  to provide its customers most authentic precious  stones, gemstones and silver conforming to international standards," says its Chairman Akhtar Khan.

"We are striving hard to redefine Pakistan's jewellery standards by introducing the concept of branded jewellery around the world and gratefully we have been successfull in our endeavours.

Akhtar Khan observed that past six years, Pakistan has performed wonders in the socio-economic sector. The country's future looks promising with the export led growth of economy. Praising the export policy of the government, he said that the jewellery business for the very first time had been recognised  as an industry. "This will help exports to increase manifolds," he said.

He praised Tariq Ikram, Chairman Export Promotion Bureau and Secretary Commerce, Tasneem Noorani for taking keen interest and extending full support to jewellers in removing the problems faced by them.

He further stated that government had directed State Bank of Pakistan to formulate a policy to extend loan facilities to the jewellers so that gold exports could be accelerated.

"Government's incentives to exporters and ideas for export promotion of jewellery  are essential to face competition in world market," he stressed.

Khan said that the Export Promotion Bureau should promote  and project Pakistan-made jewellery, and take serious initiative to fund some of major international exhibitions, particularly in the USA, UK, Italy and Spain the largest buyers of finished jewellery.
